Our Story
CouchHaus was founded in 2021 by husband-and-wife team Harrison Gordon and Paige Sandher with a simple idea: buying a couch should feel inspiring, not overwhelming.
After searching for furniture that offered both exceptional comfort and the freedom to customize, they realized the options simply didn’t exist. Most brands asked customers to compromise between style, comfort, quality, or personalization.
So they decided to build something different.
Working from their townhouse in Langley, British Columbia, they launched CouchHaus with a vision of creating modular furniture that adapts to the people who live with it, not the other way around.
Every decision was guided by one question:
“Would we want this in our own home?”
What started as a small Canadian startup has since grown into a national furniture brand, furnishing thousands of homes across Canada while staying true to its original mission.
Along the journey, CouchHaus has been featured on Dragon’s Den, helping introduce the brand to Canadians from coast to coast. But while the spotlight was exciting, the heart of the business has always remained the same: designing furniture that helps people feel at home.
“To be watching ourselves on Dragons’ Den, being a show that we grew up watching, admiring, it’s cool to see,” says Harrison.
